- TriviaDistinguished film editor. Began in films with Thomas Ince. Worked on The Toll of the Sea (1922), the first dual colour Technicolor feature. At MGM (1933-34), supervising editor for David O. Selznick (1935-47). Co-recipient of an Academy Award for Gone with the Wind (1939). Later at Paramount (1961-63).
