The Indian adaptation of the popular Israeli action-thriller series ‘Fauda’ is returning with its second season. The second season will retell a tale of the Indian Army’s many counter terrorist operations in the Kashmir Valley, in greater detail.
This is much like how ‘Fauda’ covered the Israeli Defence Forces’ covert operations against the terrorist organisation Hamas.
The first season of ‘Tanaav’ followed a black ops group of the Indian Army, the Special Task Group, carrying out operations against the Pakistan Army sponsored terrorist organisation Harkat-ul-Mujahideen.
It also showed the separatist activities in Jammu & Kashmir, as well as the inflow of weapons and finances to the terror groups from various outposts in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey.
‘Tanaav’ tells the story of how the Indian Armed Forces dealt with terrorism in the Valley, in a dramatised fashion, intricately weaving tightly knit action with the emotional stories of compelling characters caught...

Foreword
Web series on streaming platforms have warranted a far more emotional investment both for actors in the cast and from the viewers who would try and get involved in the characters. Their sequels, however, are rarely as engrossing as the original first season of episodic developments. And for the same reason, I, for one, am a tad sceptical about watching successive seasons with as much enthusiasm as I am for the preceding ones. Unless it is ‘Made In Heaven’.
Made in Heaven Season 2
This series is a compelling watch and though there isn’t anything spectacularly novel about its storyline, the production values, immaculate writing and superb acting by the entire cast makes it riveting. It represents what present-day India is all about. Conservative on the one hand and modern in many ways with progressive mindsets of traditional people who face conflicting ideas to deal with at every step.

The first season of the Indian series Made In Heaven took the world by storm because of its lavish representation of Indian weddings combined with its social messaging about society in general. The show targets Delhi, considering it’s the home base for the wedding planners Tara and Karan, whose wedding company is the namesake of the series. Back in 2019, the show was both entertaining and noteworthy for far more than just the glamor of the weddings it depicted. Made In Heaven follows the lives of these two best friends who have started this wedding planning company. Apart from showing us how hard the work really is, it also expands to their personal lives and each of their own individual issues. Four years later, it’s hard to remember the little details, but the show takes you right back to the heart of it all without any trouble. While some...

The trailer for the second season of the International Emmy nominated show, ‘Made in Heaven’, which was unveiled on Tuesday promises riveting storytelling laced with grandeur, drama, dark secrets, and the societal problems that cut across the spectrum and class.
The trailer was launched at a five star property in Mumbai’s Santa Cruz area and saw a heartfelt performance by the band Bombay Brass on the beautifully decorated set ahead of its launch.
The trailer begins on an aesthetic note with all things beautiful and elite, bringing a bit of nostalgia from the Zoya Akhtar directorial ‘Dil Dhadakane Do’. It shows the drama in elite circles surrounding big fat weddings.
This time Shobhita and Arjun’s titular wedding planning establishment has new entrants most notably in the form of Mona Singh’s character of the auditor who comes with no filter and puts things as they are without a grain of sugar coating.

The Song Of Scorpions
Starring Irrfan Khan, Golshifteh Farahani, Waheeda Rehman, Shashank Arora
Written & Directed by Anup Singh
Luckily for us and posterity, Irrfan Khan’s final film is an exquisite piece of cinema. Enchanting to view, gorgeous in feel, The Song Of Scorpions is an enigmatic parable set to the tune of a cinematic rhythm by a master craftsman.
I’ve been a fan of Anup Singh’s cinema since Qissa where Irrfan was a Sikh father hellbent on proving his daughter to be a son. In many ways in The Song Of Scorpions Irrfan plays a distant cousin to his character in Qissa. His camel-plying hero Aadam is a mulishly stubborn man driven to obsessive self-destructive lengths by his passion for a stunning resolute woman of the deserts(Iranian beauty Golshifteh Farahani) who sings to scorpions. And there lies the sting.

Known for its humanistic scripts, diverse roles and thought-provoking approach to filmmaking, Malayalam cinema has created a new wave in the Ott streaming services since the pandemic. Expanding its regional library with meaningful content on India’s 73rd Republic Day, ZEE5 Global premiered Asif Ali and Rajisha Vijayan starrer Ellam Sheriyakum as well as Aaha, starring Indrajith Sukumaran and Santhy Balachandran, on January 26, 2022.
Helmed by ace director Jibu Jacob, Ellam Sheriyakum is a war of genres – romance, a political thriller, family drama – all rolled into one. While the film’s plot focuses on interfaith marriage and differing political views, it phenomenally makes the political satire non-ideological, with a balanced outlook on family. This film is the fourth directorial release of Jibu Jacob. His previous three films – Vellimoonga, Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbo and Vattamesha Sammelanam, were also family dramas built against the backdrop of politics.
Meanwhile, Aaha directed by Bibin Paul Samuel is a sports drama,...
