A wise woman once asked, “Who needs guys, when you have sausages, dildos, and Sofi Tukker?” That woman was Heidi Klum — and it’s the sort of slutty, dancey energy Klum and the electro-pop duo are bringing this summer with the video for single “Spiral,” which debuts with Rolling Stone Wednesday.
“It’s a breakup song, but rather than making the music video about the breakup, we wanted to make it about getting back to yourself, reconnecting with your friends,” Sophie Hawley-Weld tells Rolling Stone. “We got to live the...

AnnaSophia Robb’s attendance at Chanel and Tribeca’s Women’s luncheon during the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival demonstrated how much her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw in The Carrie Diaries influenced her style.
Wearing socks with heels has long been a controversial fashion statement. While some consider it tacky and a fashion faux pas, others think it’s chic and modern. Pairing such can be pretty challenging for me, too. To pull it off, though, I think it comes down to confidence and a sense of style. Needless to say, AnnaSophia Robb has both!

Image Source: Amazon In the movie that made her a star, Clueless, Alicia Silverstone made the character of Cher Horowitz look effortless — almost as if Silverstone had been typecast in the role. But Silverstone, who was 22 when the high school comedy was released, said it wasn’t as easy as it looked. When the film was originally released, she admitted she was absolutely nothing like the character, but she was able to draw plenty of inspiration from writer/director Amy Heckerling’s acclaimed script. New data from Ampere Analysis shows the Apple TV+ library grew by 25% between February and March thanks to the addition of licensed movies.
The strategy for Apple TV+ has always been clear, even if outside observers didn’t necessarily agree with it. The streamer would showcase only Apple originals, a testament to the high production values and A-level stars the company is able to bring to its shows thanks to revenue generated by its device retailing segment. But that all changed in early March when the streamer imported more than 50 movies created by various other Hollywood studios for a short window. New data from Ampere Analysis suggests that perhaps Apple may not want to be so hasty in letting its next batch of licensed titles go if it decides to repeat the experiment again.

Besides being famous for never aging a day in his life, Paul Rudd is living proof that being a terrific actor and the nicest guy in show business are terms that aren’t mutually exclusive. A classically-trained actor, Rudd realized early on that comedy was his forte, and he soon found himself much in demand for television work. Not surprisingly, his feature film debut was in a comedy, Amy Heckerling‘s 1995 “Clueless,” which brought Rudd the best reviews of his still-growing career. More film work followed, mostly in comedy but occasionally in dramas, one of which, 1999’s “The Cider House Rules,” brought Rudd his first SAG Award nomination as part of that film’s ensemble cast.
With 2004’s “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,” Rudd began a collaboration with filmmaker Judd Apatow that would change his career. Over the next decade, Rudd would co-star in six films that were either...

According to Paltrow, President Bill Clinton was sound asleep at the premiere — emphasis on the sound part.

If the golden era of the high school movie was the 1980s, packed with John Hughes’ tales of wistful outsider girls and horny nerds, then mid-late ‘90s was the reprise. This was the era of Valley Girls (Clueless), the make-over movie, and of course modern updates of classic literature. Cruel Intentions fits into this category and takes it to the next level. It’s a teen high school movie full of shagging and spitefulness which has genuine consequences and treats its characters like adults, while allowing them the naivety of youth. It’s 25 years old, and it’s still sexy as fuck.
Based on the novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ which was filmed memorably as 1988’s Dangerous Liaisons, starring Glenn Close, John Malkovich and Michelle Pfeiffer, Cruel Intentions had wonderfully salacious material to work with but big shoes to fill.

In the canon of high school-set slashers, Departing Seniors is a moderate achiever — the middle of the pack. Jose Nateras’ screenplay massages LGBTQ+ themes into an adorable-awkward-angsty teen romance threatened by deadly obstacles (outside cruel bigotry). It’s refreshingly genuine in terms of treating queer relationships with normalcy, but schoolyard slasher tension dulls without sharp execution. Director Clare Cooney’s feature debut is more competent than confident, relying on select performances and cheeky metatextual callbacks to overcompensate for a less successful balancing of subgenres.

Alicia Silverstone was a bright light in the otherwise maligned 1997 superhero movie “Batman & Robin,” playing Batgirl opposite George Clooney’s Batman. Although Clooney has distanced himself from the role in previous years, he showed up in 2023’s “The Flash” in a multiverse cameo. While Silverstone was at the Variety Studio presented by Audible to discuss her new Sundance film “Krazy House,” she was asked about whether or not she’d put the cape back on.
“If you arrange that I will do it!” she answered with approval.
Much like a trip to the multiverse, “Krazy House” is a film that plays fast and loose with perception and reality. Nick Frost and Silverstone — along with Gaite Jansen and Walt Klink, who play their kids — are the Christians, a devout family living in a ’90s sitcom. With last weekend’s Night Swim failing to garner the type of numbers other horror films have seen in January and landing in the second place spot to the holiday juggernaut that is Wonka, this weekend should finally see the first new number one movie of 2024. The question is: will it be the remake/ broadway adaptation Mean Girls or the Jason Statham revenge tale The Beekeeper?
It’s going to be Mean Girls. It wasn’t really much of a question if I am being honest. Mean Girls should easily land on top of the weekend box office as it is based off a property that is still very much in the zeitgeist. In some ways the musical format suits Mean Girls better than the original movie version, with Angourie Rice in the role once occupied by Lindsay Lohan
The high school comedy of status-sadism now reaches the same third life-cycle stage already achieved by Hairspray, The Producers and The Color Purple: the movie, the stage musical version and then the movie version of that. My own dissident reaction to the 2004 original was a mean review based on feeling it was inferior to Clueless, Election and 10 Things I Hate About You, and that it had its cake and ate it on the prettiness-fascism issue.
But I could have paid more attention to the showstopping individually funny lines; screenwriter Tina Fey after all went on to create an authentic masterpiece with TV’s 30 Rock, in which she could more successfully represent in her own person the eternal Mean Girls themes of reconciling success with kindness.

"Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers" continued the trend established in "Halloween 4" and "Halloween 5" of weirdly copying the sequel titles of the "Pink Panther" movies starring Peter Sellers. There was "The Return," then "The Revenge" and now it was time to dive a little deeper into "Halloween" lore, for better or worse.
Honestly, it was something of a miracle that "Halloween 6" even got made at all. After becoming the first in the series to actually premiere on Friday the 13th, "Halloween 5" was the lowest grossing movie of the franchise when it opened in October of 1989. After the development for "Halloween 6" stalled multiple times due to legal issues,...

Once again, celebrities went all-out for their Halloween party looks — and seemingly didn’t given a second thought to those SAG-AFTRA rules against specific pop culture costumes for striking actors (which even Saturday Night Live mocked). Below is a roundup of the most striking looks, from Halloween queen Heidi Klum’s incredible velvet peacock to Ed Sheeran’s murder doll Chucky, as well as Adele’s Morticia Addams and Zoë Kravitz as Mia Farrow’s character from Rosemary’s Baby.
Klum told The Hollywood Reporter her costume took six hours to put on. “I wanted to do something with a lot of people, so when we’re all crunched together in a certain position we become one,” she said. “And I thought of a peacock because you can fan out, and I wanted to do it with artists and acrobats.”

Celebrities love to dress up for Halloween, and Kim Kardashian is one of the few who usually go all out! Her many, often revealing Halloween looks through the years show that she's mastered the art of a sexy costume with outfits inspired by movies, animals, fictional characters, and even other celebrities. She's previously dressed up as Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman, and a Victoria's Secret Angel, just to name a few.
This year, however, she opted for something more fun, dressing up with daughter North West as Cher and Dionne from "Clueless." She also channeled her inner Bratz doll alongside sister Khloé Kardashian and friends Olivia Pierson and Natalie Halcro. Needless to say, Kardashian somehow manages to outdo herself every year.
Ahead, relive her best Halloween costumes over the years.

October marks the start of spooky season, but really 2023 has brought the scares since last winter. It was difficult to narrow down the year’s best horror into just 10 books—and we stopped just short of Halloween, which conveniently coincides with several more creepy book releases including Nat Cassidy’s Nestlings—but these eerie selections sum up how horror has outdone itself so far this year.

What's better than dressing up in your own Halloween costume? Having someone else to match you, of course. While coordinating couples' costumes are popular for spooky season, we also love duo Halloween costumes for non-couple parties of two, and thanks to pop culture's biggest onscreen hits, there's plenty of inspiration out there for two-person costume ideas.
For Halloween this year, we have you and your best friend, sibling, or roommate covered with the best costumes that channel iconic duos from movies and TV shows. Maybe you're both obsessed with famous pairs from the '90s like Will Smith and Carlton Banks from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" or Cher and Dionne from "Clueless." Or perhaps you're fans of more recent onscreen besties like Anna and Maya from "Pen15" or Rue and Jules from "Euphoria." Whatever your preference, our collection of two-person Halloween costumes has something for everyone, and most options...

American Horror Stories, a streaming series spin-off from FX’s long-running horror anthology series American Horror Story, began with a seven episode first season in 2021, and an eight episode second season followed in 2022. For the upcoming third season, the episode count has been shortened to just four – and all four episodes of American Horror Stories season 3 are set to drop on the Hulu streaming service on October 26th! With that date just three weeks away, a teaser trailer has arrived online to give a quick preview of the Halloween (or “Huluween”) event. You can watch it in the embed above.
Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck, the same duo that’s responsible for American Horror Story, this series is a weekly hourlong anthology that features a different horror story, some of which call back to the original series, in each contained episode. It has been 25 years since Keri Russell graced the small screen in the iconic role of Felicity Porter.
Felicity, the J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves-produced college drama, was a critical darling of The WB, becoming a phenomenon well before "the big chop" controversy and often topping the list of young adult classics to this very day.
The series amassed 84 episodes over four seasons, and it was nominated for 38 awards, including a Golden Globe Best Actress nod for Keri Russell.
The series remains impactful, even two and a half decades later. And it's primarily due to the allure of the cast, many of whom are still going strong in their careers all these years later.
So, where is the cast of Felicity now? Check it out!

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably found yourself reminiscing about the good ol’ 90s – a decade of flannel shirts, dial-up internet, and, of course, those epic cult classics that shaped our pop culture sensibilities.
I’m excited to take you on a colorful journey down 90’s lane as we explore the gems that captured my heart, inspired our fashion choices (no shame in admitting it), and transported us to a time when mixtapes were the ultimate gesture of affection.
So, dust off that neon fanny pack, untangle your Slinky, and let’s dive in!
1 “Clueless” (1995)
Cher’s World, We’re Just Living in It
As if we could forget the iconic Cher Horowitz, the epitome of Beverly Hills fashion and cluelessly endearing antics. “Clueless,” with its impeccable one-liners, extravagant wardrobes, and hilarious commentary on high school life, is a film that still brings smiles to our faces.

[This interview was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.] How well do you know Jeremy Sisto‘s TV and film characters? Is it as well or perhaps better than he does? When Sisto stopped by TV Insider’s office in the spring (ahead of the FBI–Most Wanted–International crossover event and before the actors’ strike), we not only had to have him dish on his costars and recall his audition for Clueless, but also test his knowledge of his own characters. What makes it tricky is that Sisto has played law enforcement characters on at least three shows — Detective Jack Roth on Wicked City, Detective Cyrus Lupo on Law & Order, and currently Assistant Special Agent Jubal Valentine on FBI (returning for its sixth season on CBS) — and so some of those quotes are very similar … and therefore not the easiest for Sisto to answer. But his characters elsewhere, like in Clueless and on...

While it’s hard not to pick favorites, there’s no such thing as a definitive version of a story. Sure, some retellings are bound to be more popular than others, but there’s nothing necessarily wrong with updating a compelling idea for a new audience. That being said, it’s quite rare for a new version of an established intellectual property to stand on its own merits, with most remakes and adaptations being content with simply rehashing the things that made their predecessors successful instead of finding a new angle from which to tell an original story.
In television, this means that we’ve seen plenty of forgettable shows based on existing franchises, with everything from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off to Clueless spawning soulless spin-offs meant to capitalize on brand awareness. And when it comes to horror, the situation was even more dire before the genre renaissance of the mid 2010s,...

In our Q&a series Popsugar Crush, we get to know some of our favorite celebs' more intimate details - from their signature scent to their perfect date night. This month, we're crushing on "Minx" star Jessica Lowe.
Jessica Lowe's Bambi is the beating heart of "Minx." The series, which moved to Starz for its second season, follows the titular women's magazine, which combines feminist essays with very sexy pornography, featuring men exclusively. And while her coworkers may overlook her from time to time, Bambi embodies what it means to be a Minx woman more than anyone else.
"She's an icon," Lowe tells Popsugar of her character. "A sexually open, stunningly stylish icon." Lowe describes her character as "not academic" with "a lot of grit." But when her coworkers overlook her - as they often do in season two - it deeply hurts Bambi. Combine that with her angst over her...

Yes, it’s getting darker a bit earlier and the temps are finally (whew) easing up and cooling off. So many folks are thinking of Fall, and aside from sweaters and pumpkin spice everything, Halloween is on their minds (and in the aisles of several retail chains). And we’re ready for some good scary flicks, and not family-friendly fare like the failed reboot of Haunted Mansion. Now we’ve already hit the high seas with Dracula, maybe we could get a modern twist on the classic monster folklore. Is the setting for this flick another rotting ship or a decaying estate or castle? Nope, it’s a locale even more frightening, high school (Carrie White and Buffy Summers would heartily agree). And the villain? For this gory lil’ indie, it’s not clear exactly who or what is the actual Perpetrator.

Plot: Jonny Baptiste is a reckless teen sent to live with her estranged Aunt Hildie. On her 18th birthday, she experiences a radical metamorphosis: a family spell that redefines her called Forevering. When several teen girls go missing at her new school, a mythically feral Jonny goes after the Perpetrator.
Review: Female empowerment has never been as prevalent in horror as it has been over the last twenty years. With women shifting from victims and buxom eye candy to protagonists and heroic final girls, horror has experimented more and more with the ideas of gender, race, and sexuality than ever before. Jennifer Reeder’s new film, Perpetrator, takes on all these concepts along with a dash of pitch-black humor in a film almost beyond categorization. Drawing influences from Clueless and Heathers to Society and Suspiria, Reeder’s latest film is an interesting blend of ideas that do not come together in the end,...

American Horror Stories, a streaming series spin-off from FX’s long-running horror anthology series American Horror Story, began with a seven episode first season in 2021, and an eight episode second season followed in 2022. Both of those seasons had July premiere dates, but obviously that wasn’t the case for season 3.
