- 'Fuck' (in all its various forms) is the main one used, several times per episode, and 'shit' (the Irish version) is used occasionally. 'Cunt' is spoken in an aggressive tone, typically as an insult, occasionally throughout the series.

- Very little nudity, and some of it is paintings of naked male wrestlers. One episode does have a bunch of nuns (of all ages, shapes and sizes) bathing naked. While it's implied that some people have sex, there's only one scene where sex is going on, and all you see are their feet and their faces.
Violence & Gore
- Very little violence at first - other than the plot, which hints at a sinister disappearance - but later there are guns fired, a man gets his thumb shot off, some people are punched in the face, and a big bomb goes off under a hillside.
- A dog gets shot off screen. We hear a short squeal. In the next seen a brief glimpse of the dog's dead body can be seen.
