Fifteen years ago, writer/director Judd Apatow hired documentary filmmaker Chris Wilcha to film a behind-the-scenes movie about the making of “Funny People” and changed Wilcha’s life forever when the documentarian moved from New York to Los Angeles to work on the project. After he was done with the shoot, Wilcha had a hard time finding documentary work and ultimately settled into a life of directing commercials, returning to his first love of non-fiction filmmaking only sporadically as he accumulated hard drive after hard drive of footage from unfinished projects. Apatow was stunned to learn what an effect he had had on Wilcha’s life. “I didn’t even know that he moved to L.A. for the job,” Apatow told IndieWire, “and that his mom has been mad at me for decades.”

Paul Wesley may have captured hearts on the hit teen drama The Vampire Diaries, but he admits that he doesn’t miss playing the younger Salvatore brother.
During a recent interview with InStyle, published online Thursday, the actor opened up about his role as Stefan, a sweet yet brooding vampire, and why he “would never do another vampire anything, period, let alone Vampire Diaries.”
Wesley starred opposite Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder on the series that ran from 2009 to 2017. And while the show helped launch the actor into fame, he said he doesn’t “really miss anything about playing him [Stefan].”

The Paramount+ purge continues.
Inside Amy Schumer and Kevin Williamson’s Tell Me a Story are among the latest titles to be removed from the Paramount Global-owned streaming platform. The moves, which were expected after last week’s erasure of Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, The Game and Queen of the Universe, come the same day that the conglomerate officially unveiled Paramount+ With Showtime.
Other titles that are being deleted from the service include Dave Grohl’s docuseries From Cradle to Stage, Ghislaine: Partner in Crime (the doc from former CBS News president Susan Zirinsky), the LeBron James-produced film Fantasy Football (which was picked up as part of Brian Robbins push for younger-skewing content) and family musical Snow Day.

Paramount+ opened the floodgates to purge content from its streaming platform last week when it removed Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, The Game, Queens of the Universe, and Star Trek: Prodigy.
Deadline reported Monday that all five seasons of Inside Amy Schumer had been banished from the service, with no telling whether the show will return at another destination.
Also removed is Tell Me a Story, which was canceled after two seasons in 2020.
The anthology from Kevin Williamson had previously been leased to The CW to help shore up its schedule during the pandemic.
Blood & Treasure, which began its life as a CBS original before being placed on a multi-year hiatus to return on Paramount+ before being canceled, has also been removed.
The list goes on. Here's the full list of titles no longer available to stream.

After a year of questionable decisions from streaming services that involve password sharing, app overhauls, advertisement tiers, removal of content and so on, the bubble is somewhat bursting as companies look to regain profitability through the purging of shows. It was not long ago that news broke about the streaming platform, Paramount+, canceling a number of projects, including Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, The Game and Queen of the Universe. Not only is the streamer canceling these movies and shows, but they’re removing the titles from the application as well to reap the benefits of a content write-down.
Deadline now reports that more shows have been put on the chopping block over at Paramount+. One of the bigger names that is getting purged is the return of the sketch comedy show Inside Amy Schumer, which had returned to continue its run with a fifth season in six years.

Inside Amy Schumer returned to Paramount+ after six years for its fifth season – a season that Paramount was hoping could score an Emmy nomination to compete against the likes of SNL and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
However, Emmy voters hoping to take a last minute watch on Paramount+ before tonight’s voting deadline will have been disappointed after it was one of the latest titles to be scrapped from the streaming service.
Paramount+ has purged a phalanx of programming today including a number of original series, original movies and Nickelodeon content.
The low-profile move comes after Paramount revealed last week that it was canceling and scrapping four series: Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, The Game and Queen of the Universe.

Bob Lee Swagger remains one of the most badass television characters ever.
The USA Network series, Shooter, was one of the finest, coming at a time when the cable network ran supreme with endless content for everyone's viewing.
With slick action sequences, subterfuge, and adrenaline-pumping thrills, the series, more often than not, was a must-see summer show for three seasons until its unfortunate cancellation.
TV Fanatic followed along with the journey from beginning to end with full coverage in our Shooter Reviews. It is still a perfectly binge-able series that you can stream on Netflix, at least until June 21, when Netflix loses the rights for it.
It bolstered an impressive cast led by none other than Ryan Phillippe. But where is the cast now? Let's find out!
Jaina Lee Ortiz - Angela Tio
Ortiz had a small arc during Shooter Season 2, guest-starring as Angela Tio, a sergeant Bob Lee served with during the Marines.

After first sparking rumors that she may be joining Darren Star on his latest series, “Emily in Paris“, when they appeared together at the season 3 premiere, Kim Cattrall responded to Et about possibly reuniting with the “Sex and the City” creator.
“We’ll see,” she told Et’s Rachel Smith while promoting her new film, “About My Father”, which opens in theaters on Friday, May 26. “We’ll see what happens.”
While it’s certainly possible that the 66-year-old star could appear in the upcoming fourth season of the hit Netflix series starring Lily Collins as an American ingénue who moves to Paris and joins a French marketing firm, she reminded Et that she has a new series of her own coming out on the streaming platform.

Of all the characters returning for "Scream VI," perhaps the most intriguing is Hayden Panettiere's Kirby, who was seemingly killed off for good near the end of "Scream 4." But throughout the ten years between the fourth and fifth films in the "Scream" series, lots of fans pointed out that we never officially saw the lights leave Kirby's eyes. So after years of fans pushing for the seemingly impossible request of bringing Kirby back, "Scream (2022)" ended up quietly granting their wish. In a blink-and-you miss it Easter egg, Kirby's confirmed as having survived the second round of Woodsboro killings, and has since apparently been living her best life off-screen. Now she'll be back as a major player in the newest film, as those who've watched the newly released trailer already know.
But for long-time Scream writer and producer Kevin Williamson, getting Hayden Panettiere back for the newest entry in the series wasn't easy.

Kirby is officially back. Hayden Panettiere returns to the “Scream” universe for the sixth film, making it the first time that audiences have seen her character, Kirby Reed, since she was left for dead in 2011’s “Scream 4.”
However, she may have been back sooner — if the producers could have tracked her down.
“We’re like, ‘Where’s Kirby?’ We couldn’t find her. She doesn’t have an agent. She had sort of disappeared,” executive producer Kevin Williamson tells Variety. When he started filming Season 2 of “Tell Me a Story” in Tennessee in 2019, he met crew members who worked on “Nashville” with Panettiere.
“I called up my producer in Nashville and said, ‘Do you know Hayden Panettiere, by any chance? Because we can’t find her!’ He’s like, ‘Oh yeah, let me call her,'” says Williamson. “And then they called back and it was like, ‘Alright, found her!

Exclusive: Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix franchise), Isabelle Fuhrman (The Novice) and Liana Liberato (To the Bone) have signed on to star in Justine Bateman’s upcoming feature Face, based on her 2021 bestseller, Face: One Square Foot of Skin.
The film penned by Bateman consists of 14 vignettes, both comedic and dramatic, which look at women’s faces getting older, and why that makes people angry. While much of society appears to assume that women’s faces are somehow broken and need to be fixed, Face reveals some of the many ways in which women, and those around them, allow this idea to take root at all.
Parker will play Tanya, an actress balancing her need to use her face for her job and the pressure to not move it at all, with Moss as Mrs. Foster, a kindergarten teacher whose young students remind her of the magical functionality of the face.

‘Scream’ One of my top films of all time is 1996’s ‘Scream.’ From the story, to the characters, to the slasher formula and meta-commentary, the iconic teen film resonates and stands tall even after all of these years have passed. ‘Scream’ has also forwarded its own franchise, with four further installments in the series, the most recent one being 2022’s ‘Scream,’ another one well on the way. But what is it about this original film that holds it up as a classic? Directed by the late great Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson, ‘Scream’ took on the world of slashers, most prominent in the 80s, and set its characters to be aware of the clichés, all the while making it a whodunit plot with everyone trying to decipher who the killer is. Upon its release, the film was well-received both critically and commercially and revived its genre in the mid-90s.

Exclusive: Michael Raymond-Jamesn (Sweet Girl) has been tapped for the key role of mob boss Joe Colombo opposite Forrest Whitaker in the upcoming third season of Epix drama series Godfather of Harlem.
Created by Chris Brancato and Paul Eckstein, Godfather of Harlem tells a story inspired by infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned from eleven years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. Season 3 will find Bumpy Johnson continuing to battle for control of Harlem, with other aspirants to the throne, namely the Cuban Mafia from neighboring Spanish Harlem. Taking on the Cuban mob will put Bumpy, his loved ones, and his community in the crosshairs of not only the rival Italians, but ruthless Latin assassins and, ultimately, the CIA. Godfather of Harlem is a collision of the criminal underworld and the civil rights movement during one of the most tumultuous times in American history.
