Lal Salaam (2024)
Finally showing a lead as a good Muslim
Yes yes yes kudos to aishwariya for showing the lead not only as the charming actor that rajni is but that he plays this pure hearted Muslim personality. Let's be honest a lot of people that are badmouthing this movie is cause this movie's lead actor is a good Muslim who cares if there's any instigating going on , who doesn't backstab others cause that's what we see most Muslim characters especially in Bollywood movies doing. Vikrant as shamsu is the angry bull headed guy who's brilliant yet he gets shorter screen time and attracts more than the slightly boring Vishnu as thiru's character.
CON-
It definitely could've had a shorter scenes like the scenes by the temple where devotees are just crying and crying and shouting and why the actress always get such less screen time??
What happened to Sid's version of ae pulla? The guy singing it in the movie had a horrible voice.
Please see this movie unless you don't like seeing unity in religious communities.
I love when I get to hear words that Muslims use such as their greeting cause we rarely get to explore the cultural side of Muslims in movies; all we see is Muslims as terrorists and Muslims as the backstabbers which is just creating hatred.

CUTEST CROSS CULTURAL MOVIE
All the hate this movie is getting is for no legit reason it's such a cute movie, as an Indian I loved it. It has some cute funny moments throughout , I love how jashan actually stands up for himself cause any non Indian show or movie doesn't portray Indians/Pakistanis in a good light or standing up for themselves there's always some mockery or stereotypes going on. I thing people are hating on this movie cause they don't like how an Indian is not accepting this looking down upon behavior like Indians always do in shows and movies. The ending was the cherry on top. I wish they had shown more Indian cultural moments in the movie.
The Curse (2023)
brilliant is an understatement
A show that is creepy, awkward and keeps you hooked at the same time is what describes this creation by nathan and safdie, for those that are complaining just want to see loads of sex and cuss words . This show offers something totally unique, how it literally zooms into someone's reaction or situation is awkward but at the same time it's so haunting and pulls you into what's going on in their mind. Hypocrisy of the privileged is brilliantly shown. Nathan's acting is excellent that too for someone new to the world of non reality type of shows unlike what he does. Needs a season 2. Just bc this doesn't have vulgarity or cussing please don't cancel it.

PLEASE MAKE MORE MOVIES LIKE THIS
IF YOU'RE THINKING OF SEEING THIS MOVIE PLEEASE SEE IT! I thought it would be for kids even teenagers but adults can easily see this movie; the background music is terrific it gives you chills throughout the movie, the way susie and jessie's expressions are so masterfully done, it's fast paced , no nudity just straight to the point i wish more movies would be made like this; its perfect for those who want to be spooked but not to the level of scary faces; the ending was icing on the top. Jessie's trauma can easily be seen through his wonderful acting and you feel bad for him throughout. It's sad cause movies today that are actually watched the most are ones with nudity, swearing and violence so these underrated movies don't come to light.
Jawan (2023)
Disappointing for a South Indian directed movie
I was really excited to see this movie as I've seen many South Indian movies in their original languages and I know a good South Indian movie when I see one but this one ain't it. No mister this movie has nothing new you haven't seen before. Y'all remember akshay's gabbar where the main guy is a vigilante who fights against the government's corruption and akhri rasta of amitabh Bachman where the main guy's mom has a tragedy story and he ends up taking revenge for her and bunch of movies where the father and son look alike and bunch of movies where they fight against the bad guy and y'all know who's gonna win yes that's jawan for you; nothing unique ; usually South Indian movies and I'm talking abt the non masala movies have a good plot twist and yea sure the old srk Vikram rathod is a fresh and funny character and the action is cool but you can't just have action and no story. Then you have nayanthara who seems to be a such a badass but she's just another stupid character being the head of her team did she think she's just gonna have srk waiting for her to arrest him in the train scene? All those people wearing bandages she should've known he can escape. And hell if deepika knew wrestling she could've attacked those police officer instead of killing them.
Dasara (2023)
FORGET RRR AND PUSHPA HERE COMES DASARA
RRR and pushpa these two overrated movies with overrated actors it's sad these movies have become such big hits they were nothing compared to dasara! Mahesh babu, Allu arjun and so many more south actors who honestly don't know acting and aren't even special looking can't even be compared to nani. I've seen many telugu movies but after watching nani how this guy so underrated?? Allu Arjun, mahesh babu all these overrated and to be honest overrated in looks too but it sad that their masala movies that have no stories are hits while a decent looking guy like nani who in fact is billion times better looking than those overrated stars and his acting is top notch is so not appreciated.
Coming to the story it's an fusion of romance and revenge so it was fresh to watch this and the action scenes were mass maaza Bollywood needs to learn that without vulgarity movies can be made
I wish more of a substantial role could've been given to keerthy as she's more than a cute face but overall guys please give this movie appreciation it's not just a masala movie.
The Estate (2022)
SO FUNNY PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO NEG REVIEWS!
I don't what's wrong with peoples' humor nowadays but this movie was hilarious from beginning to end, usually all white cast movies don't make me laugh cause there's a half nude scene right in the beginning or it won't be that funny but this movie was not that. Toni and anna give you a laugh riot ; there's nothing unique abt the story it's the comedy of all the characters that make you laugh. Please guys if you wanna watch a simple funny movie nothing complicated just watch it. Todays worst to worst movies are loved by people cause they are either are too violent or too sexual or too complicated and a movie like this is just plain and simple.
It's sad that people like those stupid complicated movies with stretched out dialogues when all things won't even be properly explained by the end but they become a hit.
Bhediya (2022)
Good effects but poor plot
Was really excited to watch bhediya as me and my husband traveled to Dallas as it wasn't playing here in my state but what a let down. It has some really nice effects that show varun turning into a wolf and the Tamil version of apna bana le is beautiful and the plot twist made me cry but there was nothing unique abt the storyline. A wolf bites a man who becomes a wolf and this theme of saving nature and man vs animal is all seen before. There was no plot buildup, something to look forward to , to cling to our seats- nothing. Stree was a masterpiece in terms of everything- it had comedy, and not just few comic lines like in Bhediya; it had great songs and most importantly the story! Shradda's character and her acting was legit scary and a significant role. Here kriti is a just a symbol to show importance of animals who live in jungles and humans who wish to destroy their habitat; And the haunting music and stree's background story everything was great .
Other issue was how there's suppose to be a connection bw these two movies as they are a part of the horror comedy universe but my guess is that do ya'll remember seeing rajkumar with fangs in the song haveli from Stree? So My husband guessed that the fangs came from varun biting rajkumar in Bhediya towards the end but if this is the case then one has to figure it out
Hope all three movies connect properly.
Darlings (2022)
Same raggedy story
As always beautiful acting by shefali and aalia but comeon!! Again the abusive Muslim husband and bechari muslim wife? It seems that all these people giving raving reviews are loving it cause the Muslim is shown to be bad😒 enough with oppressive Muslim husband train! All these reviewers wouldn't have liked it if the guy was non Muslim beating his wife am I right? I'm a Muslim wife and my husband definitely isn't like this! I wish they also shed light on the fact that drinking is prohibited in Islam
Other thing that was a turn off was shefali Seeda chuma on the young guy's lips uggh ; and before anyone comes with the intolerant bs and love is love let me say it just doesn't look right when a woman who's playing mom and dadi roles is here kissing a guy half her age ! Also it's unnecessary to the track of the story which is just not unique! We've seen thousands of abusive husbands and bechari wives in serials and movies so what's unique abt this?? And the wife finally decides to take revenge? Wow that's so unique 😒
Also the pace is very slow, it takes alia ages to finally take charge but even when she does her acting is a little childish when she's planning how to take revenge. Aalia bc of her miniature face doesn't fit in roles like gangubai and even badru lacks that rawness that an abused woman would display
The ending plot twist was good tho.
Ruposh (2022)
No standard left
I love Pakistani dramas and that too a limited amount especially in the year range of 2000-2014 they had A class actors and stories lekin aaj ke bohot kaam stories hai jo unique ho like ghissi pitti Mohabbat or tehra angan
what are people saying abt this? That it deserves to be in cinemas?? That's ridiculous I've seen thousands of comments that Pakistani dramas are better than Indian dramas but don't they see this telefilm has the elements of an Indian film?? Haha
and as an Indian yes I agree that Pakistani dramas are better than Indian counterparts but that does not mean that India lacks any good actors or movies
what the hell is happening in this telefilm- slo mo action scenes, wind flying in the leads' hair, girl falling into guy's arm, same old story of rich aggressive guy ( kabir Singh plus thousands of Indian movies) who falls in love with a middle class girl that shows a little attitude that she will not easily get tricked by the rich guy's love ke ishaare? The middle class girl brings light into a depressing guy's life who has parents who don't have time for him and give him gifts ( anyone remember salman's movie with Kajol and arbaaz??)
and Oh god rohail vs salaar ( student of the year) the same competition between two of the leads , same one girl bw two guys love triangle and people are praising this? Really shows that you can show a little out of the world nonsensical action and audience goes wild
kinza is promising as I like her in rani nokrani and haroon I guess can emote dialogues but to say this is a masterpiece and should be placed in cinemas is outrageous
I wish aaj ke young actors could get some training
There are much better pieces of drama that have aired, there was a time when Pakistani dramas were magical like mata e jaan , main abdul qadir hoon, harjai, mera saaein to name a few those were masterpieces.
