The Northman (2022)
Vikings this is not
If you are expecting the quality of the series Vikings or Vikings Valhalla, you came to the wrong place.
This is over 2 hours of sickening, pointless screaming an violence.
Zero character development, zero plot and nothing makes any sense.
Dull acting, stupid dialogue, i could go on forever..... i guess the director was on a mushroom trip himself!
Vier (2022)
Slow and depressing
This one's depressing. Not much of a plot either.
Acting was poor except for Manuel Rubey.
The story is about 3 newborns that were killed right after birth - 10 years ago. And a guy who was born as a girl, not very believable.
Should have skipped that one...
Venuto al mondo (2012)
Challenging Film
When watching this film it reminded me a lot of "Incendies". Not only because of the story but also because it was almost as tough to watch. It almost felt too realistic, never giving you a chance to get comfortable. That's what makes this movie exceptional. The acting is top notch, really impressed by the performance of Penelope Cruz and Hirsch. The Make-up makes the age-differences look totally authentic. The Soundtrack also gives the film an extra dramatic feel. Even though it is over 2 hours in length you never feel bored, always keeps you excited.

Gangs of Wasseypur (2012)
Can't understand all the raving
So i gave this one a second shot. After not even an hour i had to give in again. The whole thing is extremely fast moving, there is absolutely zero character development and the story is going by like out of a machine gun, really hard to follow. And there really is a lot of characters, very confusing. Also lots of violence, screaming, you name it. For me who doesn't speak Hindi, reading the subs was also a real challenge as there is a LOT of speaking, not giving me a chance to even look at the picture itself. Maybe a movie made exclusively for the local audience. Don't get me wrong i usually enjoy Hindi movies, no problems with subs, this one gives me a real hard time though. I really tried...
Gone Baby Gone (2007)
so so
I was very skeptical with this one, as Ben Afflecks work in "The Town" just didn't convince me at all. For this one, it was slightly better i think. Well, as some of the reviewers already wrote, Casey Affleck is just not very believable in his role and you can hardly understand what he's saying. It was slightly better than in "The Killer Inside me", there his performance and credibility are just horrible and i was asking my self "really, are they serious"? . It seems Ben Affleck kinda pushed his brother into this role my all means or is it just a coincidence, i don't think so. Ed Harris is very good, but doesn't really fit in very well. Same for Morgan Freeman.
