Signs of a Psychopath (2020)
My favorite true crime, it is shocking documentary
I reserve a 10-star rating for shows that are worth rewatching, and 'Signs of a Psychopath' earns this distinction. Having viewed the seasons multiple times, I find that each viewing reveals new layers, akin to the way fine wine matures with time. In my eyes, it's a classic.
The highlight of the series is undoubtedly the psychologists' analyses. Over time, I've transitioned from a passive viewer to an active one, eagerly anticipating the experts' insights to enhance my own understanding.
The series delves into some of the most notorious crimes, presenting a rich tapestry of recordings, photos, and interviews ripe for analysis. It's a shocking documentary, and some moments can make us cry even without an emotional soundtrack. There are some that criminals describe everything as a dark humor, which we could only imagine finding in films, beyond reality.
I fervently wish for the series to continue indefinitely, perhaps even venturing into the annals of ancient history for its analytical prowess.
Pluto (2023)
Pré astroboy history with castlevania style
This is a series that made me question if AI will be able to empathize, appreciate art, or even surpass humans, like Animatrix did to me. And if they were more like humans emotionally, but more powerful and indestructible?
There are many tears, smiles and the over-dramatic scenes with screams, but most of time they were not able to resonate with me. Unlike I felt in AstroBoy, Naruto, Sword Art Online I, Somali and the Forest Spirit, or Fullmetal Alchemist... which I really mourn the loss of the characters.
There are some similarities with Astro Boy, but the original Astro had the same personality like Gon from HunterXHunter, innocent and determinate. The style of Pluto seems more like Castlevania series. There are some action scenes, but mostly thunderbolts and lights.
I am hoping for season 2. There's some uniqueness to Pluto, but not enough to rewatch it like the Animatrix. My guess is that they chose the current way to appeal to all age ranges, but with a focus on the young generation.
The Fall of the House of Usher (2023)
I despite horror genre, I would watch this series again
I binge-watched this TV series, and only a few shows can make me do that, especially since I really dislike the horror genre.
It shows what a person would do to achieve power and money, living a superficial and fancy life with drugs/alcohol/sex/influence/power to escape from reality, distracted by their own created chaos. If someone could see their entire past (facts), what would be the real legacy they left behind?
For me, one of the drugs was this series.
The only downside was the way Roderick and Madeline Usher's fate ended, but it was unexpected. I also wish they had shown more of what happened to Morella Usher.
My Lover, My Killer (2021)
true crime
The story is well described, CCTV footage, there are psychologists analyzing the mental state. Could have more real details like message exchange etc.
Hanna (2019)
The Bourne Ultimatum Series by a girl
A girl who only has spy training has to survive, not knowing why. Because of her past, there are funny moments because she doesn't have "natural" social skills. It's the Bourne Ultimatum Series very addictive, so be warned.
Poisonous Liaisons (2019)
top true crime serie
It shows how delusional is the mind of a narcissist and psychopath. Different time lines and the same sick mind basis. It is worth watching. I would like season 2.
Shadow and Bone (2021)
I give up
I tried to watch it, two times. In the second time I drop it in the episode 3.
I don't like series with "the chosen one" because the writer is a god, characters can turn the impossible situation in a heartbeat, the solution springs from nowhere with a heroic soundtrack. What was dead appears, something that is gone begins to shine and is done... hugs, kisses and the end.
It's a teen drama/fantasy but the dialogs is more fantasy for children. The action is very predictable or something like calling someone a coward and they start fighting. Drama at the level of bullies at school. There are people like this in real life, but they have literally the emotional age of a child and it is very annoying.
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
black mirror animation
I really liked the season 1, it's like black mirror without boundaries. How spooky future and others universes could be. The season 2 isn't such impressive like the 1, but still it is good. I'm already waiting for season 3.
Leonardo (2021)
Marvelous
The series describes very well that art, beauty and innovation require a lot of money. Unfortunately, few people are willing to support.
It's very impressive to shows how ingenious and naïve Leonardo could be. Having a mind ahead of the time greater the suffering. How big would his work be if he had more support and people were more tolerant.
Very very beautiful show, Aidan Turner was fabulous.
The Nevers (2021)
It's like a Victorian legion Series
It's like the Legion series, a little confused, the plot twisted is very very weird, but entertaining, good actors and fancy clothes helps too.
Resident Alien (2021)
Very funny
This a good comedy. The alien says and do things in inappropriate moments, like me. But, instead of interacting with humans, I watch good series.
Raised by Wolves (2020)
BattleStar Galatica + Alien Covenant
I saw the first episode and was an impressive trip. A roller coaster of emotions to only one episode. The episode one can be considered an excellent scifi movie. I'm anxious.
It's like the intelligent scifi drama + action of BattleStar Galactica together the thriller + AI philosophy of Alien Covenant.
The fisrt episode, wow! wow!
Brave New World (2020)
Teenage drama made by adults
How would be a world with anesthetized people: addiction, naked people and inconsequential actions with modern resources.
The overdramatic scenes I could watch without feel anything, like a teenage drama made by adults. I believe that is the main idea, because is the struggle that develop a person, otherwise will result in a superficial and spoiled adult. To me that is series' message of how boring and overdramatic it would be in such an environment: Being boring.
The Great (2020)
Very good historical drama comedy
Who likes historical drama which includes very beautiful costumes, decoration, scenarios... will love it. I have to take time to appreciate the scene
It is a really good comedy, some times it seems exaggerated, but when I think in Russia I realize that it is plausible.
I only give 10 stars to series and movies that I enjoy rewatch
What We Do in the Shadows (2019)
Very Very good!
I never thought about that possibility, the detailed "life" of a vampire.
The show is well done, I laugh a lot. I love Nandor's accent, he is very cute.
This is an original, clever and very good show!
The Good Fight (2017)
A smart and funny show
One of my Top series.
I saw The good fight in the IMDB recommendation and Voilá, the taste is good.
There are good dramas, the human character is well represented (real things), clever jokes, political issues ... well dosed. When I find a new episode, I smile.
Long life for the good fight.
Jamestown (2017)
Really good!
It is a good drama. I can feel it.
The show highlights the importance of love, humbleness and unity to overcome greed, lies and prejudices. Without been melodramatic.
I'm not a woman, but I could feel and understand all the women's frustrations in me.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Regular to Good
I rewatch it. The story line converge to Thanos win, this turn the movie quite predictable.
The holes:
Loki could have escaped with Tesseract.
A mole can pass through Wakanda shield

Alien: Covenant (2017)
A philosophical path in the alien franchise
The mix of AI, alien and human were good. I didn't expect to see this kind of movie so soon. The AI is the center of the film, encapsulated in the Alien world.
I don't need to see extraterrestrial life to be amazed beyond my comprehension, the humans are enough to me. The creation of AI will add more uncertainty, or chaos, in the future and this movie made me wonder not whether, but when the AI will be the creator.
I was reluctant to see the movie because of the rate in the IMDB, but I'm a strange creature and I like movies that a lot of people don't like.
I did not give 10 stars because of the prediction of some scenes and the clear lack of security protocol that I didn't expect to see from humans of the future.
