Review of Dead Boy Detectives

Love this show....but I can't see much. I thought TV was a visual medium. I would like to see what's going on. There is something "new" in direction that is making stuff dark...I guess "more natural". I don't care. If I'm going to WATCH a show/movie, I would like to SEE what's going on. Faces, expressions, actions... This has been a trend as of late seemingly starting with Game of Thrones last season and continuing with many other shows (Willow, for one). The characters are great, realistic (I think that's why Ghostbusters 84 was so good, the characters were real, not like the McCarthy Ghostbusters). The storylines are really expansive, more than the ghosts...Gaiman's stories are well done and nonlinear. Again, why so dark? Stop it with "this is how it would really look!" I'm watching a show TO SEE IT! Otherwise, it's a 10. Put up some fake light somewhere!
